Hi, I’m Sung Lin
I paint the quiet moments— the ones you only notice
when you finally slow down.
My work is rooted in mindfulness and emotional observation, using slow, layered oil painting to explore memory, stillness, and softness found in everyday objects.
Whether it’s a folded piece of tape, a quiet corner in a loud restaurant, or a single plant growing through concrete, I try to capture what it feels like to pause and really notice something small.
I used to believe healing meant fixing myself — journaling, meditating, overthinking. But over time, I learned it came from simply observing. Painting became my way of doing that — honestly, slowly, and with care.
My work doesn’t shout. It stays.
